We invite you to join LEGACY 2012 TOUR TO POLAND, designed for young women who are learning in Israel and abroad. This yearrs tour is scheduled for the beginning of Pesach break March 25 - April 1, 2012.
This powerful and inspiring educational tour takes you on a weeklong journey through a world that once was. Discover over 500 years of rich Jewish history. Appreciate the spiritual heights of pre-war Europe, and enjoy a taste of old shtetl life. Take a closer look at the life and world of the Chassidic masters and their courts. Experience a Shabbat that you will never forget. Glimpse into the unforgettable and unspeakable remnants of the Holocaust. These experiences and many more are all part of LEGACY 2012.

LEGACY 2012 is privileged to have this year’s program led by a dynamic staff of educators: Rabbi Avraham Brussel, Rabbi Moshe Rosenstein, and Mrs. Chana Silver. Rabbi Brussel is the Academic Dean of Midreshet Tehillah Seminary located on the Neve Yeurshalayim campus in Jerusalem and an experienced Eastern European tour leader. He is a popular lecturer and teacher who has years of experience teaching in yeshivas and seminaries. He is menahel of Shaarei Chein, new second year program together with Rabbi Rosenstein who is also the Dean of Tomer Devorah Seminary in Jerusalem, is a national lecturer in schools and shuls, and is a former national president of NCSY. Rabbi Kahane is menahel of Chedvas BY in Yerushalayim. With a unique mix of depth in machshava and a meaningful down-to-earth approach, Rabbi Kahane is a dynamic and sought after speaker who teaches in several seminaries and yeshivas in Yerushalayim.
Mrs. Silver, our senior Eastern European program director teaches at Sharmanns, Afikei Torah seminaries, and Aish HaTorahhs Discovery Programs. She is a popular lecturer, experienced counselor, and columnist of Dear Chanaa on the www.jemsem.org.Legacyys dynamic and warm staff offer an amazing tour program which includes stimulating shiurim, presentations, and discussions which encourage questioning and soul searching all of which are essential to the LEGACY experience.

Tuesday, Apr 5th 2011 | Depart Israel to Warsaw. Travel to Ger, visit the beis midrash of Gerrer Rebbes. Davening at the kevarim of Chiddushei HaRim, Sefas Emes. End the day in Kielce or Lvov.

Wednesday, Apr 6th 2011 | Crakow; hear a shiur in the Remah Shul and daven at kevarim of Remah, Bach, Magalei Amukos, Tosefos Yom Tov, more and tour Alte Shul and museum. Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Thursday, Apr 7th 2011 | Visit Schindler's Plaszow camp, daven at matevah of Sarah Schenirer, lecture in original Beis Yaakov building. Travel to Lancut and see magnificent shul, walking tour at Avraham Ben Avraham's palace. Kever of R' Naftali Ropshitz. End the day in Lizensk at the kever of Noam Elimelech, dinner at guesthouse.

Friday, Apr 8th 2011 | Warsaw cemetery; davening at kevarim of Netziv, Rav Chaim Brisker, and more. See the notorius Umschlagplatz Train Station that most of Warsaw ghetto went to their death from. See last remnant of Warsaw ghetto wall, tour streets of ghetto area. Prepare for an AMAZING Shabbos in Warsaw.

Saturday, Apr 9th 2011 | Shabbos Program. Shacharis: davening in Notysk Shul - last remaining shul in Warsaw. Meet members of Jewish community. Shabbos afternoon: Walking tour. Motzei Shabbos - special Melava Malka program.

Sunday, Apr 10th 2011 | Tikocyn - shtetl of old. See beautiful shul built in 1642. Lupochava forest, daven at kever achim. Travel to Treblinka. In Kotzk visit the Kotzker Rebbe's house and daven at his kever.

Monday, Apr 11th 2011 | Lublin: Shiur in beis midrash Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin founded by Rav Meir Shapiro. Davening in the old cemetery of Lublin which dates back 450 years; kevarim of Chozeh, Maharshal. Travel to the Majdanek camp.
